BDO Events is the commercial partner of the British Darts Organisation (BDO). As the exclusive sales agent of the BDO we are working to commercially develop the established BDO tournaments, as well as promote additional elite tournaments for the world's top BDO players.
BDO Events also represents other international darts governing bodies and promoters in developing their events and commercial programmes including broadcast, digital media, sponsorship and licencing.
Working with our partner Associations we are committed to supporting the grass roots of the sport and creating an elite development pathway.
The World Darts Trophy will be taking place 26th Feb to the 1st March 2015. Qualifiers will be held on the 7th October at Hull Sports Arena, Hull. Entry for the qualifiers are now open.
Over 279 men and 60 women descended on The Airco Arena in Hull for the play offs of the 2015 BDO World Trophy.
The World Trophy, one of the newest events on the BDO darting calendar attracted players from all over the world. After a long evenings play Wayne Warren (Wales and Glamorgan); Mark McGeeney (England and Lancashire), Ritchie Edhouse (Essex) and Stefan Deprez of Belgium won through in the Men’s competition whilst in the ladies Rhian Griffiths (Pembrokeshire) and Maud Jansson (Sweden) triumphed.
ENTRIES are now being taken for the 2015 BDO World Trophy which will be held at Event City, Manchester between 26 February 2015 and 1 March 2015. Any player subject to eligibility criteria can enter the tournament and try to win a share of a minimum £50,000 prize fund.
Eurosport will broadcast five tournaments from four countries this autumn live and delayed on Eurosport and Eurosport 2 in its European and Asia-Pacific markets. The events include The Winmau World Masters and The Romanian Open.
In addition to our tournament promoter rights, BDO Events has been appointed on a multi-year deal as the exclusive sales agent for all tournaments where the BDO control the commercial rights.
The BDO and BDO Events have strengthened their existing relationship by agreeing an additional multi-year deal. This additional agreement grants BDO Events the right to promote additional tournaments, bringing the total to six top events per year of the stature of the BDO World Trophy.
Huddersfield’s James ‘Jamie Dodger’ Wilson was crowned the first BDO Daily Mirror World Trophy winner last night when he waltzed away from the Blackpool Tower Ballroom with the title. The champion beat Ross ‘The Boss’ Montgomery 13-11 to win the new title. On hearing the result James collapsed to the floor, before getting up and punching his fists in triumph before the packed crowds.
